I straight juked them boys. I don't even know why Teflon was so pissed. But that don't matter now. As I walked down the street tho I see a lot of stuff that scares me. There are so many damn foreigners. They all looked at me funny too like Ima swing on them. And I dunno, I might get into more trouble here than ever before. Man I thought I left everything behind when I dipped out from Lakewood. I guess I can't help the way I look. Man my leg was hurtin and I needed a place to sleep at. That's when I saw this OG rollin up on a pink tricycle named Nyrese Jaquon. Ima call him Tipsy tho cus his name sounds like Jakwon to me. HAHA he did look kinda funny but I ain't jonin'. I started talkin to him and he seemed pretty tight. He showed me this hotel on the corner where I could stay at. We got to talkin business and thats when I realized that even if I try to be normal, I'm trapped in the game...I might get to know this fool more, but I gotta sleep and see a doctor right now.

My Charecter

Rictor "Ra-man" Williams is a 30 year old African-American male and a retired gangster. He was shot in his leg escaping from the troubled town a few minutes away after causing an altercation with a fellow gang member. Now as he slowly struggles to cope with the change of scenery he must overcome his rugged appearance and forget his past. He is trying to become a part of society while getting past his complex mental problems.

Cultural Revolution Knowledge

• Bourgeois - The bourgeois were the target of the revolution. They were attacked by the Red Guards in order to remove their influence. Millions were forced into manual labor and tens of thousands were executed.
• Mao Zedong - Now known as simply Mao, he is regarded as one of the most influential men in history. He started the cultural revolution and was the chairman of the Communist Party of China. Was the supreme commander of the nation and army. Commanded the Red army on the Long March. Brought communists victory over nationalists. Death in 1976 caused a ruckus.
• Gang of Four - The leaders of the Communist Party of China. All four were arrested after the death of Mao and blamed for the events of the revolution. Sentenced to death but reduced to life term (20 years). Their names were Jung Qing, Zhang Chunqiao, Yao Wenyuan, and Wang Hongwen.
• Counterrevolutionary - Things that were wrong after the revolution.

Love is a complicated thing. Personally, I don't believe in love at first sight. I don't think it really occurs with other people either. I think people will say they had love at first sight, but in reality they truly fell in love after getting to know each other not the moment they laid eyes upon each other. I don't think anyone in their right mind would marry someone else based on first sight. Of course people can feel a connection and want to get to know each other more. Those feelings defiantly aren't love though. I don't think I will experience love at first sight because I really don't like judging people based on looks. Who knows though? Maybe I am wrong and I don't believe in love at first sight because I haven't experienced it yet. I just think that those feelings go past looks and take time to develop. To understand if you truly LOVE someone I think you should really know them and not be as impulsive. Of course there are so many people in this world that yeah someone has probably been married on first sight. That's just how crazy the world is today.

Antigone the Feminazi

Supposedly all men are created equal, but are men and women equal? The answer is no. In today's society prejudice have carried over from generation to generation from the beginning of man kind until today. Our constitution was constructed by men for men. The same goes for almost all countries in the world. Men are considered the dominate sex . It seems odd that men and women are treated so different. Men will get paid more for the same jobs, be more respected, become more successful. While women are generally considered more trusted, sharper, and passionate. For a male dominated society women sure do play an influential role in society. I think that women and men have very interesting differences that contribute to today's culture.

Free fallin'

Fate versus free will in Oedipus Rex is an interesting topic. In Oedipus Rex you must realize that it was Oedipus' fate to one day kill his father and marry his mother. It was however very obvious that this would happen and the circumstances should have provided Oedipus with some evidence. When Oedipus ran into an older man at crossroads why would he kill him if there is a good chance it is his father. Then why would he marry an older woman? There is some evidence that none of this could have been avoided; however, I think that it was a fate that could have been controlled by free will. Some of the situations were impossible to avoid. For instance he had to kill his father in self defense and then was somewhat chosen to be king. I think that Oedipus was doomed from the beginning; however, there were things that could have been done to prevent some of the events and change his fate.

What's in the bag?

I believe that a persons life is controlled by fate and free will together. I believe that ultimately everyone has a final destination it is just a matter of how you get there. Everyday you make decisions that will effect the outcome of that day or the days to come. It is these decisions of free will that ultimately lead us to our fate. I don't exactly agree with the idea that no matter what you do you can not prevent you fate because you do not know your fate. If you know your fate then it would seem easy to avoid. This; however, is not the case and the everyday person doesn't know their future and their fate. How can you be sure that it was a person's fate that ultimately killed them? You can make an argument that it was their free will that lead them to death. That response raises questions from the other side. How do you know that no matter what the person had done they would not have died the same way? It is easy to make an argument from both sides and that is why I believe it is a mixture of the two. The free will of a person will lead to an ultimate fate.
